Former Finance Minister Asad Umar has been made member of National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance here on Wednesday. Asad Umar is likely to become Chairperson of the committee replacing Faiz Ullah MNA from Faisalabad, as the committee is set to elect its new Chairman on May 13 (Monday).
According to a notification issued by the National Assembly Secretariat here on Wednesday, Asad Umar has been included in the list of the Finance Committee members. The name of existing Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance Faiz Ullah has been removed from the slot of the Chairperson and subsequently included in the list of Members. A meeting of the committee would be held on May 13 for election of the new Chairperson, notification added.
