Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar on Friday said the government is protecting each and every penny of public exchequer as a sacred trust and also ensuring accountability of those who have plundered the national wealth. He was talking to the Federal Interior Minister Brigadier Ijaz Ahmad Shah (retd) who met him, here at Governor's House.
Both discussed different issues including implementation of National Action Plan (NAP), security situation of the country and visa policy for religious tourism including Sikh pilgrims. The governor said that terrorism is not a problem for just a party or the government rather it's a problem for the whole nation which is also on one page to curb it.
He also said the government is implementing NAP in its entirety. The government will also ensure all possible security arrangements on the 550th birth celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak. Development work under Kartarpur Corridor Plan will get completed before the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, he added.
The governor further said that the enemies of peace are in fact against the country's prosperity and progress. The steps taken by the incumbent government to ensure security to every citizen in the country are appreciable, he added. He also said that the government is taking steps to ensure workable visa policy for the Sikh pilgrims coming from foreign countries.
