Sharif, Zardari families politics is over: Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed Thursday said the family politics of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari was over now.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was last hope of the country, who was effectively working in the best national interest, he said while talking to a private news channel.

The minister said Imran Khan is an honest person and he was determined to recover looted wealth from Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and other corrupt elements.

He said Nawaz Sharif had tried to get National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government but he had failed in do so.

Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif wanted to flee from the country to abroad if they will release from the cases, he said.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif looted national wealth had been directly affecting the poor masses of the country.

He said, “I am also part of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and would audit the Shehbaz Sharif in the PAC.”

The last Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government had badly damaged the national economy and institutions, he said and added the PTI government had improved the economy.
