The Democratic-led US House Judiciary Committee asked a federal court on Friday for access to grand jury evidence from the Mueller probe that lawmakers say they need to determine whether to begin impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. A 53-page petition filed in US District Court in Washington targets evidence of interactions between Trump campaign officials and Russian agents, as well as the Republican president's alleged efforts to impede the Mueller probe by directing former White House Counsel Don McGahn to remove the special counsel.
