On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,016. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 52.897 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 43,287.
Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 40.473 billion followed by Gold PKR 4.927 billion, DJ PKR 4.500 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 1.050 billion, SP500 PKR 887.726 million, WTI Crude Oil PKR 588.115 million, Platinum PKR 145.654 million, Silver PKR 132.992 million, Palladium PKR 89.890 million, Natural Gas PKR 44.917 million, Copper PKR 42.452 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 13.694 million. In agriculture 35 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 25.741 million were traded.
