On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,066. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.039 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 9,007.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.781 billion, followed by DJ PKR 1.777 billion, Crude Oil PKR 1.062 billion, Currencies through COTS PKR 906.864 million, SP500 PKR 522.602 million, NSDQ100 PKR 460.107 million, Platinum PKR 275.717 million, Silver PKR 130.197 million, Copper PKR 88.319 million, Natural Gas PKR 25.406 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 8.181 million.
In agriculture commodities one lot of Cotton amounting at PKR 0.473 million was traded.
