A Pakistani delegation led by Provincial Minister for Tourism and Sports Rai Taimoor Bhatti called on Bruneian Minister for Primary Resources and Tourism Haji Ali Bin Apong in Brunei Darussalam, yesterday.
Matters regarding mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting. Rai Taimoor Bhatti informed the Bruneian Minister Haji Ali Bin Apong about the measures taken by the PTI government for the promotion and development of tourism in Punjab.
The Minister further briefed Haji Ali Bin Apong that there is a vast opportunity for investment in the tourism sector of Pakistan. He said that the promotion of tourism is among the top priorities of PTI's government. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan personally leading the public tourism sector. He said that Punjab has a rich religious and historic culture and there are a number of tourist spots in this regard.
The Minister further maintained that the Punjab government is paying special attention for preserving the archaeological sites/relics, providing security to the tourists, finding new spots and promotion of tourism. The provincial minister also presented souvenir and book to the Bruneian Minister Haji Ali Bin Apong.
