KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday lashed out at Sindh home secretary on non-recovery of more than 60 missing persons and also expressed annoyance at Sindh police for submitting stereotype reports.
The court heard the pleas seeking recovery of more than 60 missing citizens and it remarked that Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and Provincial Task Force (PTF) are not giving desired results for the recovery of missing persons.
‘’The heads of security agencies, who appear before the JIT and PTF, should be asked about the whereabouts of the missing men,’’ the court remarked.
The court also directed the home secretary to take personal interest in each and every case of missing person and take measures to recover them.
‘Delegations be send to KPK’s detention centres for checking of possible missing persons,’ the court The court sought an updated report from Sindh home secretary, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Director General of Rangers and others after ensuring recovery of the missing citizens by 6th March.
