Mayor directs KMC to repair routes of Muharram processions around Nishter Park
Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said that the work on repairing of roads and filling of trenches around the Nishter Park and Soldier Bazaar have been initiated and will soon be completed.
After a meeting with the organisers of Muharram Majalis and Ulema, Waseem directed the concerned staff of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to carry out cleanliness and repairing of routes of processions around the Nishter Park, with immediate effect.
The KMC staff following the directive of mayor Karachi performed the street lights work on the route of the 5th Muharram procession near Sindh government hospital Liaquatabad and also filled the trenches and repaired the road near Liaquatabad post office.
The department has so far repaired the roads in different districts of Karachi including at main road from Shershah to Miran Naka Bridge and from Metro cinema to DMC West office in Orangi in district west whereas repairing of road was also done at the Hasan Colony and route of Muharram procession in Liaquatabad in district central.
KMC repaired the road, sewerage and water system at different city locations including 13-D of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and at Malir 15 flyover, at Sharae Faisal, Korangi 12000 road, Nipa roundabout, in front of Urdu University and in UC-28.
