DUBAI: Brazil's centre south region is expected to produce around 560 million tonnes from its cane crop in the 2019-2020 season, Marcelo de Andrade, global head of softs at Cofco, said at an industry event in Dubai on Monday.
The outlook was shared by Jeremy Austin, head of Sucden's Brazil operation.
"We see a 560 million tonne crop in the centre south with average rainfall ahead," Austin said.
