Minister inaugurates Franchise Post Offices at NADRA E-Sahulat outlets

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed Friday inaugurated Franchise Post Offices at National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA)-E-Sahulat outlets.

The new innovative service launching ceremony was held here at Postal Staff College Islamabad.

Speaking on this occasion, Minister Murad Saeed said Pakistan Post is on the way to expand its service base by enhancing its outreach in order to strengthen its financial health, enabling itself to restore and regain its lost glory as premium federal public organization.

“To make the dream “Pakistan Post Apka Dost” (Pakistan Post is your friend), a reality, Pakistan Post has recently taken some revolutionary and innovative initiatives such as e-commerce, mobile application and EMS Plus to meet the rising expectations of the digital consumers” he said.

He said, “The national cause is our mission, transformation of the national institution in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Pakistan is our aim and last but not the least, turning Pakistan Post into a valuable national asset is my dream and I will make that dream true”.

Embarking on revamping and expanding its franchise post business model in collaboration with Nadra-e-Sahulat is indeed great leaf forwarded in terms financial viability for Pakistan Post, the minister said.

He further said the franchise model will prove a successful and profitable business venture for Pakistan, also enabling grow their brand presence and revenues without incurring a major cost.

“It will prove more productive and valuable business proposition by attracting the attention of different financial institutions and large corporate entities” the minister said.

Murad Saeed said the Post Franchise initiative will be a major turnaround for the post as it will enable Pakistan Post to get access to 15,000+ Nadra-e-Sahulat outlets by enhancing further its outreach in every nook and cranny of the country.

He said this initiative will facilitate the public to avail the services of Pakistan Post instance parcel booking, Electronic Money Orders as well as Government to Public Payments such as payment of Benazir Income Support Programme and Public to Government Payments in more than 27, 000 outlets Pakistan in affordable rates and efficient manner.

“This will as a result make Pakistan Post a viable financial entity and truly public service organization” he added. Pakistan Post Director General Dr Naseer Ahmed, appreciating the efforts of the minister, said Pakistan Post stands committed to expand its services to serve the public across all the barriers in the best possible way under the dynamic leadership of the minister.

He further said all the available resources at hand will be utilized to make this venture a successful venture in order to make this premium public service organization, a self-sustaining and profitable national entity.

NADRA Chairman Usman Mobeen said this collaboration will be creating wining-winning situation for both the national organizations and will help facilitate the public across all the divides in the country.

Appreciating the initiative taken by Pakistan Post, he concluded that this collaboration with NADRA e-Sahulat, will also help uplift Pakistan Post business portfolio on the one hand and masses facilitation on the other hand.
