FAISALABAD: Access to modern knowledge and sciences was imperative to face the future challenges and in this connection importance of most prestigious Oxford University could not be ignored. President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Syed Zia Alumdar Hussain said this during a meeting with Regional Coordinator Oxford Summer Camp Miss Nazish Gulzar.
He appreciated the offer of Oxford University to accommodate the children of FCCI members in summer camp with subsidized rates and said that executive program for the leading business executives of Faisalabad City is also highly appreciable. Miss Laraib Zehra Coordinator Oxford Summer Camp briefed about this activity and told that summer camp would be held from August 04 to 16, 2019.
"It will be attended by the students from all over the world," she said and added that participating students would select 2 out of 32 different topics to harness their capabilities. They would be provided opportunities to interact with internationally acknowledged academic personalities during the summer camp, she said.
She said that students had been categorized in 2 different age groups from 13 to 18 and from 18 to 22 years. The 13 to 18 years old students would be lodged in university college of Oxford while other category would board in Balliol College.
She said that one teacher or mentor would also be accommodated with a group of eight students who avail teachers training program. Similarly the Oxford University would also organize Executive Program for business executives of Faisalabad. This program would be tailored in according to specific needs of the Business Executives of Faisalabad, she added.
Senior Vice President Mian Tanveer Ahmed, Vice President Engineer Ihtesham Javaid, Former SVP Rana Sikandar Azam, Former VP Engineer Ahmed Hassan, Dr. Khurram Tariq and other Executive Members of the chamber also participated in this meeting.
