KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Wednesday at 21,668.67 points with a negative change of -107.24 and volume of 56,625,800 shares. High and Low were 21,852.04 and 21,609.82 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 10 were up, 19 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 81,422,480 shares. Total companies traded were 348 of which 140 were positive, 185 were negative and 23 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,707,900 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 12,274,200 shares.

The top three decliners were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,950 (-150.00), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 150 and price per share of 753 (-22.00), Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited with a volume of 2,200 and price per share of 440 (-17.50).
