Previous govt’s weak policies in gas sector burdening people
ISLAMABAD: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Tuesday said people were facing extra burden in gas sector due to weak policies of the previous government.
The last governments had made expensive agreements in gas sector due to which, the present government had to bear a huge loss in that sector, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
Commenting on overbilling issue, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken serious notice of the matter and the excessive billing would be adjusted in next bills.
The national accountability bureau had today summoned former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi who made the gas agreements with foreign companies.
He said the PTI government was making all out efforts to facilitate masses.
He assured that his party would deliver and address the genuine issues of all the areas without any discrimination.
