PSL sensation Umer Khan aims to land spot in World Cup squad
Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) spin sensation Umer Khan grabbed the attention of cricket fans after an impressive performance at the fifth edition of PSL for his franchise the Karachi Kings.

The off spinner further said that at the moment his goal is to put up a show at the upcoming Pakistan Cup, a domestic cricket tournament, and was hopeful that the performance can give him the ticket to the upcoming 2019 World Cup.
“My objective is to do well in this tournament and if I do that, and it is in my fate, then I will be ready to represent my country at the World Cup… Even if I am not able to make it to the World Cup squad this time around, I am still hoping that I'll be able to impress the selectors for next year’s T20 World Cup,” said Khan.
Earlier, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif praised the off spinner and was of the view that the youngster should be part of Pakistan World Cup side. “Umer Khan should be in the World Cup for Pakistan, Khan is the country’s best left arm spinner at the moment,” said Latif.
The Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhter too gave his note of approval that the off spinner should be included in the World Cup squad. “He (Umer Khan) got you wickets in crucial situations, choke the run flow and was also able that he was the better choice than anyone else,” said Akhtar.
