KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Kaleem Imam on Monday directed all the DIGs to ensure security measures in the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Mairaj.
According to a Sindh police spokesperson, the IGP directed top officials to take effective steps for the security of mosques, seminaries, shrines and other sensitive places.
He also directed the bomb disposal squad to ensure the process of sweeping and clearance with the cooperation of organizers, especially in central mosques.
He also ordered all the SHOs to increase patrolling and random checking in their respected areas in this regard.
