KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 19,907.25 points with a positive change of 337.39 and volume of 96,297,900 shares. High and Low were 20,021 and 19,327.41 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 22 were up, 7 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 160,484,650 shares. Total companies traded were 350 of which 174 were positive, 149 were negative and 27 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 40,080,100 shares. It was followed by Vanaspati and Allied Industries with a total traded volume of 20,156,200 shares.

The top three advancers were Island Textile Mills Ltd with a volume of 20 and price per share of 1,923 (74.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 825 (25.03), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 1,620 (19.00).

The top three decliners were Bhanero Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 736.26 (-38.74), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 100 and price per share of 720 (-10.00), Lucky Cement Limited with a volume of 1,091,100 and price per share of 388.77 (-9.07).
