NAB, Rawalpindi establishes 1,840 CBS for enhancing corruption awareness: Mangi
ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Rawalpindi has established 1,840 Character Building Societies (CBS) in various educational institutions to enhance awareness about the menace of corruption among the educated youth, Director General, Irfan Naeem Mangi said.
Speaking in a meeting, he said NAB Rawalpindi has organized seminars to fight corruption in various universities, colleges and schools of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock.
The CBS had already conducted declamation contests, essay writing, poster, painting competitions to channelize creative energy of youth to fight corruption.
The meeting reviewed threadbare the vision, mandate, working of NAB, establishment and updation of CBS for educational institutions and notable persons and also devised a detailed plan to conduct comprehensive anti-corruption awareness activities, said a news press release.
The meeting agreed to include anti corruption and moral messages containing lectures at Tehsil and District level competitions being held in November.
CEO Jhelum said they have already launched a "Training Program" in all schools of the district. All other concerned also ensured proper implementation of Anti-Corruption Awareness campaign in their respective institutions. Character Building Societies Registration Forms were also discussed in detail.
The meeting was chaired by Abaidullah Azam, Director A&P and attended by Aftab Ahmed Khan,Additional Director A&P and Ms Julia Barket AD A&P, Deputy Director Colleges, Attock, Deputy Director College Jhelum, Deputy Director College, Islamabad , Deputy Director colleges, Chakwal, Director Colleges, Islamabad.
