Rangers, police nab suspected target killer
KARACHI: Sindh Rangers and police on Thursday claimed to have apprehended a suspected target killer affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) during a raid in the metropolis.
According to a rangers spokesman, acting on an intelligence information, rangers and police in a joint operation arrested Kanwar Imran Ali Khan alias Imran Ajaz.
The rangers spokesman said the arrested accused was operating target killing teams in Nazimabad and Gulbahar as sector in-charge.
The spokesman, citing initial investigation, said that the accused had confessed to his involvement in the killing of former Town Nazim Dr Pervaiz Mehmmood along with his colleague, Khaleequllah, on 11 September 2012 in Nazimabad area. The accused was also responsible for weapons collecting for MQM-London, said the spokesman.
