ISLAMABAD: The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Thursday challenged the the Lahore High Court's decision to grant bail to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi in the Supreme Court.
The ANF pleaded the court to accept its petition and allow to arrest Hanif Abbasi.
It may be mentioned that on April 18 the Lahore High Court had suspended the trial court's verdict and accepted the bail plea of Hanif Abbasi.
The ANF in its appeal stated that the LHC did not examine the facts correctly as it did not consider that it was a criminal case. Pakistan signed an international resolution regarding anti narcotics and also international conventions in that regard in 1961, 1971 and 1988.
