HYDERABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department has recorded the hottest day of the ongoing year in Hyderabad on Sunday.
According to the PMD, the mercury soared to 45 degree centigrade in the afternoon.
Thin traffic was observed on the city's roads as people stayed at their homes to avoid the heat.
The complaints of the power outages also surfaced from several localities in the city.
The health authorities in view of the ongoing heat wave have advised the people to drink plenty of water and avoid exposure to heat.
