CHICAGO: Spot basis bids for soybeans rose at US Midwest elevators early on Monday, grain dealers said.
Cash bids for soybeans were unchanged at processors and river terminals.
The corn basis was steady to firm at elevators, rising by 10 cents per bushel in Burns Harbor, Indiana, and ethanol plants.
But corn bids weakened at processors after rising last week.
Corn bids were unchanged at river terminals.
Farmer sales were slow on Monday morning, and Iowa dealer said.
Most growers were waiting to see the US Agriculture Department's monthly supply and demand report on Thursday before making decisions about fresh sales, the dealer added.
