Salman Khan to launch B-Town’s Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter in ‘Dabbang 3’
Bollywood actor Mahesh Manjrekar will return in Salman Khan's ‘Dabbang’ franchise yet again in the upcoming third installment, which is a prequel to the first edition. Manjrekar's daughter Saiee will also make her debut in the film and will feature as a young Chulbul Pandey's love interest.
A Mumbai Mirror report said Saiee will play Salman’s love interest from his college days in the film that is a prequel to the films that fans have seen. With ‘Dabangg 3’ it will show Chulbul's journey to becoming a cop, while Manjrekar too will slip into a young avatar.
“Yes. It is true, he [Salman Khan] is launching my daughter Saiee in Dabangg 3. At the end of the day, if she wants to act, I am ok. I am not telling her what to do. I want her to learn on her own. She is very excited about the film. He [Salman] must have seen some spark in her. Salman is a friend and I can't say no to him plus my daughter also felt she had an inclination to acting,” says Manjrekar.
Manjrekar played alcoholic and father to Sonakshi Sinha in the film. “I reprise my role of Haria. It’s a cameo which is there to establish Chulbul’s journey. I had one scene with Saiee and Salman, and it was wonderful to be in the same frame as my daughter. I felt proud and emotional,” he added.
Director Arbaaz Khan has confirmed that most of the film's shoot has been done and it will be hit theatres in December this year.
