Man swamped with calls after Sunny Leone publicizes his number as her own in film
Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has apologized for mistakenly giving out a Delhi-based man's phone number in her recent Bollywood movie ‘Arjun Patiala’, because of which the man is being swamped with calls from her fans thinking the phone number belongs to the actress herself.
Sunny accidentally revealed the contact details of a Delhi-based man Puneet Agarwal in the film and since then the man has been receiving about 100 calls a day. “I don’t even dream anymore. The phone keeps ringing until four in the morning,” says Puneet.
Speaking about the blunder, Sunny apologised to him in an interview to Zoom TV. “Sorry I didn’t mean for that to happen to you. Must get some really interesting people calling,” she said.
Puneet told BBC India, “I started receiving calls from unknown people asking me to let them talk to Sunny Leone. Initially, I thought somebody is playing a prank on me, but after a while, I got to know that the makers of the movie have actually used my number”.
He further said, “I am being harassed by many callers, people are abusing me and asking me to do dirty favours. I have filed a police complaint but till now the police have not taken any action, even after giving me assurances”.
In one of the scenes in ‘Arjun Patiala’, Sunny gives out the number as her own, which actual belongs to Puneet in real life. Puneet is also considering dragging 'Arjun Patiala' makers to court.
