BUCHAREST: Romania central bank's new inflation forecast shows consumer price growth above the central bank's target by the end of the year, Governor Mugur Isarescu said on Monday.
Isarescu told a news conference that European Central Bank and Federal Reserve's "loosening policy signals," as well as central banks in the region "were particularly relevant for local policy decisions."
The bank has a 1.5-3.5pc inflation target range and had previously forecast price growth at 4.2pc at the end of 2019.
