PARIS: European Union soybean imports in the 2019/20 season that started on July 1 had reached 1.4 million tonnes by Aug. 4, up 9% compared with a year earlier, European Commission data showed on Monday.
* EU soymeal imports had reached 1.8 million tonnes, up 16% from a year ago.
* For palm oil, EU imports were down 29% from a year earlier at 365,000 tonnes, the data showed.
