Imad Wasim’s Nottighamshire cruised to the semifinals of the ongoing Vitality Blast 2019, after they crushed Middlesex at the second quarter final at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

The home side run through the 161 runs chase without losing a wicket, thanks to a fantastic opening stand between Chris Nash and Alex Hales, the two piled 74 and 83 runs respectively, remaining unbeaten in the process as Nottinghamshire won the chase with 22 balls to spare.

Earlier on, Imad dazzled with the ball picking two wickets for 31 runs from his 4-overs, including the all important wicket of AB de Villiers who was grabbed by Ben Duckett on 11 runs off nine deliveries.

Earlier, Ravi Bopara Essex beat Lancashire by 6 wickets with 4 balls remaining, in the first quarterfinals of the tournament.
