  • Under the Punjab Wildlife (Protection, Conservation and Management) Act of 1974 possession of such animals can lead her up to imprisonment for two to three years.
  • Reacting to legal action against her, Rabi said there are still some people favoring Indian PM Modi in Pakistan.

Singer Rabi Pirzada landed herself into trouble for posing with snakes and crocodiles while threatening Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Punjab Wildlife Protection and Parks Department has now taken notice of the incident.

They have submitted a challan in a court against her for taking pictures and videos with the reptiles and keeping them at her salon in Lahore.

According to local media reports, on the directions of Punjab Wildlife Protection and Parks Director General Lieutenant (retd) Sohail Ashraf, Deputy Director Lahore Region and District Wildlife Officer Lahore Tanvir Ahmed Janjua, along with other team members launched the legal proceedings against Rabi Pirzada. Rabi’s pictures and videos on the social media as well as their telecast by a private channel prompted the Wildlife Department to take legal action against her. The department has presented a challan against her in a local court.

Under the Punjab Wildlife (Protection, Conservation and Management) Act of 1974 (amended 2007), possession of such animals was deemed illegal and can lead up to imprisonment for two to three years.

Reacting to the legal action against her, Rabi said that she has been making videos with such animals since last five years and no one ever noticed but ever since she has threaten Modi, all of the related authorities have suddenly become active.

Few days back, the video has gone viral where Pirzada can be seen posing with her reptiles and threatening Indian PM with them after he scrap Article 370 from Indian constitution. She starts the video by saying that a Kashmiri woman and her snakes are ready to take on India. “All these are gifts for [Indian PM Narendra] Modi,” she said in the video. “My friends will feast on you.”
