Injured Imam out of squad, as Pakistan takes on Sri Lanka today
- Imam sustained an injury in the left hand during the second ODI.
- Opener Abid Ali comes in replacement for Imam.
Pakistan opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq would not participate in the third One Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka, to take place today (Wednesday) at the National Stadium, Karachi.
“Imam-ul-Haq is not available for selection due to an injury in his left hand, which he sustained while fielding in the second ODI against Sri Lanka,” read a statement by PCB. “Opening-batsman Abid Ali replaces him in the side,” it added.
With the series 1-0 in favor of Pakistan, the hosts would be aiming to wrap up the series on a winning note against the Lankans.
