Sesame Street’s Elmo is getting a talk show

- The show has been titled as ‘The Not Too Late Show with Elmo'.
- Elmo might become most popular talk show host since Oprah Winfrey ended her run on daytime television.
The maker of Sesame Street is developing a talk show starring the squeaky-voiced puppet Elmo. The show will be called ‘The Not Too Late Show with Elmo’, where he will interview celebrity guests.
The show was announced as part of a deal between HBO Max and the Sesame Workshop producers. Sesame Workshop is still developing the talk show, which will air on HBO Max, but it has already got the perfect title.
The centerpiece of the deal is five new seasons of ‘Sesame Street’ that begin next year. More ‘Sesame Street’ products will also be available on-demand, including classic episodes from the past 50 years.
“Sesame Street is, and always has been, the gold standard for children’s programming, and we’re thrilled that Sesame Workshop chose HBO Max as its new partner,” said Robert Greenblatt, chairman of WarnerMedia Entertainment.
He further added, “This brand is synonymous with quality and integrity, not to mention that nothing is more important than educating young new minds. This landmark deal perfectly illustrates the type of quality programming HBO Max will offer across every demographic,” Fox Business reported.
