  • Sri Lankan opening batsman appreciated PCB's efforts in bringing back international cricket.
  • Sri Lanka end their tour on high with 3-0 clean sweep in T20I series against Pakistan.

Sri Lankan opening batsman Danushka Gunathilaka has said that Pakistan is a safe country and urged other countries to visit Pakistan, as the historic series between the two sides came to an end last night (Wednesday).

“End of a very special tour. Kudos to PCB for bringing back international cricket to their fans. Great hospitality. Excellent security measures,” tweeted Gunathilaka.

“Hope every other country will visit here soon. Pakistan is safe to play cricket & their fans deserve it!” he added.

Gunathilaka was among the star performers for Sri Lanka during the series, the opening batsman hit a fantastic knock of 133 runs in the third One Day International and was also the Islanders top scorer with 57 runs in the first T20I.

Earlier, Sri Lankan captain Dusun Shanaka has said that he was looking forward to again visiting Pakistan whenever a cricket opportunity comes as it was very interesting to visit this country where people love the game.

The inexperienced Sri Lankan team ended their tour of Pakistan on high, after they completed a 3-0 clean-sweep of their Twenty20 series over world’s number one ranked Pakistan on Wednesday with a 13-run victory in Lahore Gaddafi Stadium.
