Punjab Food Authority Safety teams inspected 63, 729 food points in the province out of which improvement notices were served to 42, 747 food points while imposed fine of Rs32,639,069 on 5,661 food points from July 1, 2018 to March 30, 2019. This was according to the answer submitted by Food Department on Friday during the Punjab Assembly session called on the requisition of the opposition.

It was also submitted that government was taken strict action against those who were involved in the sale of adulterated milk. The food safety teams of the authority had inspected 195 sale points of Desi Ghee and issued improvement notices to 146 sale points, sealed 11 sale points and imposed fine on 13 sale points during 2019 in the province.

PML-N MPA's Rana Mashhood and Malik Ahmed Khan said presenting government business in the House which was not in the agenda of the session called by the opposition is illegal. Malik Ahmed Khan sad that PML-N had resigned from the membership of all standing committees. He said that they will not accept the chairmanship of standing committees till the appointment of chairman of Public Accounts Committee 1.

Law minister Punjab Raja Basharat while responding to the opposition's criticism said that it was not illegal adding that in the past government business was presented while it was not on agenda. He said that government is also prepared and had arrangements of handling the sit in and protest call of JUI-F chief Molana Fazal ur Rehman. He also said that seminaries students should be used for political activities.

While speaking on the floor of the House former Health Minister Khawja Imran Nazir said that government had not taken any preventive measure to control Dengue. He said instead of controlling Dengue in the province government is afraid of sit in of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman. He criticized government for changing capable officers instead of controlling Dengue. He said that government should not run on learning license. He said that PTI in the past had criticized PML-N for taking loans but now they are doing the same.

While responding to the Khawja Imran Nazir Health Minister Punjab Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that government is taking serious steps to control Dengue in the province. He said that Imran Nazir was not speaking truth on the floor of the House adding that in 2011 when Dengue attacked the province there were 370 cases and in 2015 again when Dengue came only in Rawalpindi region 4000 cases were reported. She said that government had issues directives to the civil administration to take preventive measures against attack of Dengue.
