On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,128. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.342 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 7,972. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.942 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.087 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 564.609 million, NSDQ100 PKR 524.852 million, Platinum PKR 356.613 million, DJ PKR 312.551 million, Silver PKR 183.983 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 175.049 million, Palladium PKR 77.722 million, Natural Gas PKR 45.291 million, SP500 PKR 39.741 million and Copper PKR 31.746 million. In agriculture commodities 6 lots of Cotton amounting at 2.910 million were traded.
