Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital is providing quality care treatment to all sortS of cancer patients from all over the country, said First Lady Samina Alvi at a Breast Cancer Awareness Ceremony at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital Peshawar. The First Lady stressed the need for creating proper awareness among ladies about the breast cancer. She regretted that thousands of precious lives in Pakistan were lost due to breast cancer annually. She said that Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital is providing quality care treatment to all sort of cancer patients from all over the country. She urged the general public to join hands with Shaukat Khanum in its struggle against cancer, a press release issued on Monday said.

The First Lady advised the breast cancer patients for regular checkup. She highlighted that women were playing a pivotal role in the development and prosperity of the country. Therefore, she said, all measures must be ensured to help save the previous lives of Pakistani women that fall prey to breast cancer every year.

The First Lady stressed that the availability of mammography in government and private hospitals across the country were essential to diagnosing the breast cancer. She also urged the private sector to contribute to Shaukat Khanum for this purpose. Furthermore, she called upon the media to raise awareness among public about the breast cancer.-PR
