Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are going to finalise a joint strategy with regard to JUI-F's Azadi March starting from October 31.
In this regard, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman will visit the PML-N Secretariat today to hold an important meeting with PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, sources said. "Both the parties (JUI-F and PML-N) will finalise a joint strategy for the planned anti-government agitation.
Sources claimed that after the meeting, Fazl and Shahbaz may hold a joint press conference to announce the next course of action for the protest. Moreover, a meeting of the PML-N Lahore activists was held Tuesday in which consent of party workers was sought with regard to participation in Azadi March. The PML-N has decided to participate in Azadi March and is mobilizing its workers, the sources said.
Nawaz Sharif has issued instructions to the PML-N leaders and workers to fully participate in the March. The sources said that the PML-N had already finalised its protest strategy and assigned duties to its activists at the provincial and district levels in the light of former premier's directions.
The sources claimed that Azadi March on October 31 is not a sit-in, but a public meeting in Islamabad. While there is a difference of opinion within the PML-N about participation in the Azadi March.
