On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,126. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.870 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 6,353. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.408 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 785.515 million, WTI Crude Oil PKR 613.152 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 267.399 million, NSDQ100 PKR 213.129 million, Silver PKR 182.159 million, Platinum PKR 169.219 million, DJ PKR 116.872 million, Natural Gas PKR 79.044 million, SP500 PKR 20.357 million and Copper PKR 15.968 million. In agriculture commodities 22 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 20.039 million were traded.
