Sector Commander Sachal Rangers, Colonel Tahir Ayaz has said that the rangers are trying to adopt a monitoring policy as soon as possible with the installation of CCTV cameras so that quick response can be obtained in case of any criminal activity. Speaking at meeting of North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), he said that it will be the efforts of rangers that North Karachi wishes to be free from all criminal activities and zero crime rate. Col Tahir Ayaz said in order to improve the security situation, it was earlier requested that every factory worker should be registered with complete record. Security mechanism should be established.

Industrialists of North Karachi industrial area should come forward and install the CCTV cameras on self-finance basis in order to keep an eye on law & order situation. He said very soon flag march will be started in North Karachi industrial area as per the demand of North Karachi Association. He informed that DG Rangers focus on Karachi very effectively, and he wants that Karachi to be a peaceful city.

He further added that all efforts of rangers will be made to make Karachi city a peaceful. It can only be resolved, if the law & order situation in North Karachi Industrial Area is better. However, sufficient efforts will be made in this regard. Deployment of Rangers in North Karachi Industrial Area will be reinstating soon. He said Lyari River issue will be resolved soon and all entry and exit points will be monitored.

Patron-in-Chief NKATI, Capt. A Moiz Khan said the law and order situation in the city of Karachi in previous years is not the same now. All the credit goes to law enforcing agencies, including rangers. The rangers did a great job and turned the Karachi into a peaceful city. Some industrialists of North Karachi Industrial Area were kidnapped rangers also played their role in peacefully recovery. But for some months now, the law & order situation is not good. Criminals come from the Katchi Aabadi accomplish their negative activities in North Karachi Industrial Area and escaped.

He further said, that he has also requested to SHOs and DSPs of the area to be checked as soon as any Afghan appears, as they are involved in criminal activities. Similarly, if anyone takes a big amount from a bank, it is looted on the way. Causing the industrialists suffer with huge financial losses. The overall law and order situation has become quite degrade in North Karachi Industrial Area. Previously, there was a rangers flag March, which had a powerful impact on the criminal element. Fear of the police has vanished in the heart of criminal elements, while these elements was disturbed by the name of Rangers in the light of foregoing facts, given all these conditions.

Nasim Akhtar, President NKATI, Imran Moiz Khan, SVP, Fawad Elahi Shamsi, VP, Sadiq Mohammad, CEO NKIDMC, Fraza Mirza, Chairman Board, NKIDMC and executive members were also president in the meeting.
