A grand District Peshawar Inter-School Boys Games got under way amidst great fun and enthusiasm witnessed among the participating students in different Games.

The opening ceremony of the District Peshawar Inter-School Boys Games held at Government Higher Secondary School No. 1 City with District Education Officer (DEO) Dr. Idrees Haider was chief gues, who formally inaugurated the event. In the opening match of the football event Government Higher Secondary School Bashirabad defeated Government Higher Secondary School Cantonment No. 1 in a thrilling 3-2 battle.

Government Higher Secondary School City in the final match of basketball played in connection with the District Inter-Schools Sports Festival in Peshawar Zone defeated Government Higher Secondary School Cantt No. 3, Government Higher Secondary School Basheerabad defeated Government High School Jogiwara in football match.

Talking to the media on the occasion, District Education Officer Idrees Azam said that sports between schools will be promoted at the Peshawar level.
