Steven Smith scored an unbeaten half-century to lead Australia to a convincing seven-wicket victory against Pakistan in the second T20I played at Canberra on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old struck 80 runs of just 51 deliveries, which includes 11 boundaries and a maximum. The home side chased down the target on 151 with 10 balls to spare.

Ben McDermott played a little cameo of 21, while David Warner and Captain Aaron Finch scored 20 and 17 respectively.

Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Irfan shared a wicket each for the Men in Green.

Earlier, Pakistan posted 150 runs on the board after winning the toss, thanks to a sublime inning by Iftikhar Ahmed.

He scored 62 of 34 balls with the help of three maximums and five boundaries. Skipper Babar Azam played a great hand of 50 runs as well.

Ashton Agar bagged two wickets while, Pat Cummins and Kane Richardson shared one wicket each for the winning side.

Third and final T20I of the series will be played at Perth on November 8.
