Pervaiz Elahi says nation to hear good news soon over “Azadi March”

(Karachi) Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that the nation will hear good news soon regarding the “Azadi March”. He said the government and opposition have shown flexibility during talks on the protest march.
He expressed these views while talking to journalists in Islamabad on Thursday after a meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
He said, “Things are moving towards betterment and we are hopeful the matter will settle down.”
Elahi maintained, “There are suggestions regarding PM’s resignation demand that are being considered.”
This was the third meeting between the two leaders as earlier talks between the government and opposition failed to reach a conclusive decision.
On November 6, a meeting between Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Maulana Fazlur Rehman ended without yielding any positive result.
Speaking to media persons, Pervaiz Elahi said that the talks were held in a conducive environment. He added, “There's no deadlock between us (government) and the leaders of protest march."
He maintained that he came to meet Fazlur Rehman for reconciliation and to defuse the political tension in the country.
Elahi said, “Wait and pray for the outcome of the talks between the government and opposition."
Elahi said that the issue of “Azadi March" will be resolved peacefully.
