Chairman of the United Business Group, Iftikhar Ali Malik and senior leader of the UBG, Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour claimed that they would sweep again the annual elections of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for 2020 scheduled to be held on December 27.
Bilour while addressing at a luncheon held in honour of UBG Patron-in-Chief S M Muneer at Bilour's residence on Friday in connection with second round of election campaign of FPCCI said the UBG emerged as the most popular leading trade body after landslide victory of overwhelming majority of its candidates in regional elections of the chamber of commerce and industry across the country. 'We are fully prepared to sweep the FPCCI elections, opponents shall get nothing but shall get regret over the adventure', he remarked.
The sitting FPCCI President Daroo Khan Achakzai, former FPCCI president Ghazanfar Bilour, SCCI President Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz, Senior Vice President Shahid Hussain, Vice President Abdul Jalil Jan, former presidents - Riaz Arshad, Zahidullah Shinwari, Malik Niaz Ahmad, Adeel Rauf, Haji Muhammad Asif, Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Faiz Mohammad Faizi, the UBG SVC Riazuddin Sheikh, M Hanif Gohar, UBG Presidential candidate Dr Nouman Idris Butt, VP candidate Malik Sohail Hussain and senior leaders Tanvir Ahmad, Zubair Tufail, office-bearers and representatives from all chambers of commerce from KP and across the country were present on the occasion. Bilour said the UBG had never compromise on rights of business community and delivered services to the community during last many years. He asked the business community to support UBG group for progress of economy.
UBG Patron-in Chief S M Muneer said his opponent miserably failed to live up to the aspiration of the traders and could not win even a single seats of FPCCI throughout the last five years since the inception of UBG and there was nothing on their credit, which could attract the voters.
