- Maryam was granted bail by the Lahore High Court in November 4.
- NAB said that the prosecution's case was affected by the LHC's decision.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed an application on Friday in the Supreme Court (SC) seeking the cancellation of the bail granted to Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz.
In its petition, NAB stated that the trial of the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case could be affected by the court’s observations. He said the prosecution's arguments were also affected due to the LHC's decision to grant bail to the PML-N leader, local media reported.
The bureau has requested SC to declare the Lahore High Court’s verdict null and void. Maryam was granted bail by the LHC on November 4 in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case after she filed an application when her father's health deteriorated.
