It is quite unfortunate that the 'crisis' of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) continues to persist. It is virtually dysfunctional due to the alleged apathy of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani towards legislative business. Although there are some cogent reasons behind opposition parties' strategy to show reluctance, they must not lose sight of the fact that all of them from both treasury and opposition were elected by the voters they represent to frame policies and pass laws.
The government must reach out to opposition parties with a view to easing their all legitimate concerns to deal with the ECP and other issues without any further loss of time.
