The popular game show ‘Legends of the Hidden Temple’ from the 90s is getting a reboot. The revived Nickelodeon series is being re-imagined with adults in mind and is set to air on Quibi’s mobile video platform.
The reboot version will feature many of the same components, including the Moat Crossing, Olmec, and the Temple Run. The biggest difference will be that the set will now be outside the studio and set in an actual jungle. It will have tougher challenges with some more nature settings.
The beloved show which ran from 1993 to 1995 and took place inside a ‘Mayan temple’ pitted teams of kids against each other to compete for a historical artifact by completing physical stunts and answering trivia questions.
It will be produced by Nickelodeon and Stone & Company Entertainment. The series is executive produced by Scott A. Stone, one of the original creators. Quibi is set to launch on April 6, 2020.
