Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP), Muhammad Faiq Shah has said that the speedy dispensation of justice is essential for uplift of society. Shah was talking to a group of media persons here on Sunday. ATP chairman said that injustice, cruel and illiteracy are stumbling block in nations building and progress that could also create unrest in society. "No society can get progress without delivering of justice", he opined.
Shah said the disparity between rich and poor is being carried out in Pakistan at economic and social level. He said there is huge backlog of cases pending before the courts and deficiency of judges while amid political adventure and maneuvering, speedy dispensation of justice to masses has made a daunting task.
The party chief observed the delivering of speedy justice for poor is only remained a pipedream, He said the prevalent situation is creating commotion, extremism and bias in the society. He said the idea of model courts of former CJP justice (retired) Asif Saeed Khosa was a laudable step through which criminal and civil cases quickly disposed of.
Shah asked the government to take steps to overcome with deficiency of judges, fulfillment of all prerequisites of justice and overcome with current economic crisis.
The ATP Chairman said that the people have pined high hope with the newly appointed Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Gulzar Ahmed as the CJP will discharge tremendous services to them. He asked the people demand to deliver justice at their doorstep should be fulfilled.
He said the party was created under ideology of justice and formed it government in the country did nothing on incidents like, Model Town, Sahiwal and others, which is strongly regrettable. He said ATP will make all out efforts for quick dispensation of justice to masses.
