Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Monday announced to start next anti-government drive soon across the country, saying that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has ruined every segment of the economy and masses can not be left at the mercy of the ruling elite.

Talking to media persons here after chairing a meeting of the opposition parties, which was called to devise next anti-government strategy, he also criticized the major opposition parties including Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party's Mahmood Khan Achakzai, National Party's Hasil Bizenjo, Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, Awais Noorani, Allama Sajid Mir and others participated in the meeting and discussed various proposals to start next round of anti-government drive. The leadership of the two major parties of the opposition, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party, did not attend the sitting.

He said that masses from Khyber to Karachi have been deprived of everything and now Imran Khan-led government has even snatched wheat flour, sugar, pulses and other essential kitchen items from the people of Pakistan. Maulana said that he along with other likeminded political forces will start countrywide conventions against the fake government which was installed by stealing the votes of the masses.

He said that PML-N and PPP have disappointed the opposition parties, saying the leadership of the major political parties has left the masses in the middle of the miseries. He also flayed the major opposition parties over supporting recent legislation passed by the both houses of the parliament, saying they have ditched the entire nation.

He said that the leadership of JUIF had planned to start a large-scale awareness campaign across the country to reinstall the passion party workers of Jamiat had at the time of the first series of protests against the PTI-led government.

Responding to a question, Maulana said that during Azadi March the leadership of the major political parties symbolically participated.
