Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar met with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, here Tuesday and agreed to continue working jointly for the largest good of the public. Both also discussed different matters of mutual interest including development schemes and political issues.

Talking on this occasion, Governor Ch Sarwar said that the Punjab government is taking historic steps for public welfare as the provision of necessary facilities to the citizens is the priority of the government. He announced that clean drinking water will be provided to the people through Punjab Aab Pak Authority.

CM reiterated that there is no crisis in Punjab, nor would it be allowed and all government stakeholders are at one page. The PTI government is, even more, stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and rumour-mongers and conspirators are facing defeat at every occasion, he added.

He reaffirmed that transformation of Punjab, as the best province, along with the provision of best available facilities to the people, is the objective of the incumbent government. All will work jointly and no one will be given an opportunity of a complaint. He said that no hurdle will be tolerated in the journey of development under the leadership of PM.

Meanwhile, the meeting of Aab Pak Authority was also held at CM Office which was jointly chaired by Chief Minister and Governor Sarwar. Different matters including the provision of clean drinking water to the citizens came under review and the CM said that this authority has been constituted to provide clean drinking water to every citizen. He reiterated that promise of providing clean drinking water to every nook and corner of the province would be fulfilled. An amount of Rs8 billion have been allocated for the provision of clean drinking water in the annual development program.

He regretted that an important matter of providing clean drinking water was ignored in the past and directed that matters about Aab Pak Authority should be settled at the earliest along with a business plan. He further said that operational and maintenance units should also be developed for monitoring and continued functioning of water supply schemes because access to clean drinking water is the right of every citizen.

Governor Punjab said that the best team is available for Aab Pak Authority and mid-night oil is burnt for the success of this project. We want to develop a unified model for ensuring clean drinking water to the citizens and Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners will have to take a lead for this project, he added.

Central Secretary General PTI Aamir Mehmood Kiyani and Chief Whip in National Assembly Aamir Dogar called on CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and agreed to further improve the coordination between MNAs and the provincial government.

Talking on this occasion, the CM Buzdar said that problems relating to MNAs' constituencies would be resolved and no one will be allowed to create hurdles in the solution of the genuine demands of the elected representatives.

The CM said that Punjab government is also engaged in development work in MNAs' constituencies and they will be given full respect and honour. Consultations with MNAs will be continued to solve the problems of the people. He further said that proposals of MNAs will be given full importance and practicable proposals will be implemented.
