The Supreme Court has fixed important cases for hearing on February 06, 2020 at Karachi Registry related to metropolis. The cause list issued by the Supreme Court for cases at Karachi Registry showed SC bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Khan will hear the cases.
According to cause list, the SC will hear the important case related to utilization of government land for commercial purposes in the city as well as removal of encroachments. The Supreme Court sought the progress reports from federal, Sindh and City governments in this regard.
Court will also take up the petition regarding raising the plazas at residential plots in Dehli Colony as well as illegal housing projects in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the city. Director General Karachi Development Authority, chief Sindh Building Control Authority and other relevant officials will appear in the hearings.
SC also sought the reports from Railway Secretary, Mayor Karachi, Chief Secretary Sindh and others about the revival of Karachi Circular Railway.
