The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has strongly condemned the lockdown of occupied Kashmir by India, which has entered the 185th day on February05, 2020.

PIAF Chairman Mian Nauman Kabir while speaking to a traders gathering in connection with Kashmir Day here on Wednesday expressed full solidarity to the valiant struggle of the Kashmiris, resisting repression and military might with their spirit and determination. He urged the government and all stakeholders to formulate a coherent national strategy and national stamina to sustain that strategy. PIAF Senior Vice Chairman Nasir Hameed and Vice Chairman Javed Iqbal Siddiqi also spoke on the occasion.

Nauman Kabir said the civilian and military leaders are on the same page on Kashmir issue. People are protesting Indian move inside India, in the UK and other countries, while Solidarity Day on 5th Februaryhas sent a very positive signal. India is facing unprecedented diplomatic humiliation which is a victory for Pakistan, he said.

Modi's move has initiated the process of disintegration of a divided country while tensions with Pakistan will destroy its economy and credibility. He warned that depriving Pakistan of its share of water will be the last mistake of Hindu radicals who have changed secular India into an extremist state.

The meeting also passed a resolution saying that the worst lockdown of Kashmir is an attempt to undermine the United Nations Charter, International Law and relevant UN Security Council Resolutions which seek the inalienable right of self-determination for the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In pursuance of his fascist and racist agenda which is inspired by Nazi Germany, since this fascist mindset and practices are similar, the regime of Narendera Modi is committing another grave crime against humanity by turning occupied Kashmir into the world's biggest and most brutal concentration camp, with imposing curfew, complete lock-down, closing of all communications, with thousands Kashmiris arrested, kidnapped, maimed or martyred or raped, the resolution added.

"PIAF condemns the actions of the Indian government and their dealing with a political problem. We call for an end to the culture of fear and terror, violence and assault.

We speak out against the continued detention of countless people of the state and demand. We seek an immediate end to the Internet shutdown, lift on all restrictions on movement. We call for restrictions to be lifted in order to allow the independent media in Kashmir to function.

We urge the Indian government to step back from its current aggression and reinstatement of consultative processes with the people of Jammu and Kashmir community" the resolution said.
