Acknowledging the role of legal fraternity for supremacy of the Constitution and strengthening of democracy, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said the lawyers' community has to pro-actively play their role for timely provision of justice to the citizens
He said this while talking to a delegation of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) which led by its President Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry called on him, here today.
The Chief Minister also presented a cheque worth Rs10 million for the LHCBA.
Talking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said the PTI government is creating an environment of ease for the people and it has a full understanding of the problems being faced by the lawyers. The civilized societies are based on the concept of supremacy of law while the law of the jungle prevails in societies lacking socio-economic justice, he added.
